go further than ever

Business Broadband Connectivity

With ultrafast broadband, your business can go further than it ever has before.

Whether you are looking to improve your network connectivity directly to the internet or to connect multiple locations throughout the UK and worldwide, Combitel can design, specify, install and maintain your business network and infrastructure.

Technology today makes the world smaller, and therefore the opportunities are endless.

What is business priority network access?

Being connected enables a huge range of business activities, from maintaining communication both within and outside your company to allowing collaborative online work. Business fibre broadband offers your business a faster and more efficient connection. Its speed and reliability make it ideal for businesses that need to connect networks, use many devices, connect with cloud technology, VoIP phone systems and various other connected technologies.

A common feature of business fibre broadband is priority network access. At peak times of internet use, your business connection will take priority over home users. This means your business can operate with a consistent connection speed even during the busiest times of the day.

Broadband Services

There are two fibre broadband options: FTTC (fibre to the cabinet) and FTTP (fibre to the premises) or Ultrafast Broadband. FTTC uses a fibre connection to connect to street cabinets, then copper wire to reach the premises. FTTP is the faster option between the two, using a fibre connection all the way to the premises.

A leased line gives businesses the option of a dedicated broadband line. Unlike FTTC or FTTP, leased lines are not routed though the local exchange. Both sides of the fibre optic line are permanently connected and dedicated only to your use. The speed you receive never varies. A leased line can be a good choice for large businesses, particularly those that use VoIP, transfer large amounts of data or carry out financial trading.

Considerations

Not all business broadband service is equal, and there are several things that you should consider when choosing which broadband provider and service is right for your company. Some of the key factors to think about include speed, reliability and customer service. Our business fibre broadband delivers all three of these vital features for unbeatable service.

Connectivity Speed

Having a fast broadband connection ensures that everyone can get their work done, whether they’re sending an email, using cloud software or making a video call. However, not all businesses need the same levels of speed.

Your business might have only a small office and a small team, with low demand on your broadband. Other businesses can have more demanding requirements and need a fast broadband connection that won’t lag at the most inconvenient of times.

Connectivity Reliability

When you’re running a business, you don’t want to experience problems with any of the services that you require to keep operating. Problems with your broadband, or phone lines, can be extremely disruptive, sometimes bringing your business to a halt if the internet isn’t working as it should be.

A reliable internet service provider is a must if you want a stable broadband connection that offers you the speeds you are promised. With our broadband services, you can be sure that we won’t let you down. Our technicians make sure that if there ever is a problem, you can be back up and running quickly.

Customer Service

Even the best internet service providers can’t prevent all problems. When something goes wrong or when you just have a problem, you want to know that there will be someone who can quickly solve your issue.

When you contact our customer service team, they will move quickly to help you as soon as possible. They can answer your questions, solve your problems and send a technician out if necessary.

Your business Network

Other factors to take into account with internet connectivity include network security, fixed IP address and a secure WiFi.

Network Security

Network security combines multiple layers of defence, from firewall and VPN to access control and wireless security. Authorised users need to gain access to network resources whilst blocking malicious attacks. As network experts, we can assist and advise you with your security requirements.

Static IP Address

A fixed IP address comes as standard with all business broadband packages from Combitel. This means you can:

  • Access your network from anywhere
  • Host a cloud server
  • Host you own email server for direct emails
  • Benefit from low cost VoIP calls
  • Remote access to Security cameras

WiFi Connectivity

An increasing amount of wireless connections from laptops, tablets and phones increases the need for better coverage. Most wireless routers can support 10-20 connections. Installing wireless access points, wired to your network, can add up to 50 additional connections and supports multiple signals for Guest WiFi providing additional security. Most access points use PoE (Power over Ethernet) so they can be placed anywhere without the need for additional power points.
